Louie Sutherland (10-3) made a massive statement at LFL 18, finishing Luke Newland in the first round to win the Levels Fight League Heavyweight Championship in front of a sold-out crowd of 3,000 at Central Studios in Utrecht.

Sutherland looked sharp from the opening bell, taking control early. Just minutes into the round, he landed a clean right hand that stunned Newland, then followed up with a barrage of strikes that forced the referee to stop the fight.

TKO, Round 1 – Louie Sutherland crowned new heavyweight champ.

Now on a four-fight win streak, Sutherland is gaining serious momentum. In his post-fight interview, he didn’t hold back: “Dana, Mick, Sean Shelby – the UFC needs some f******* new life in the heavyweight divison. I’m the man, sign me up”

With gold around his waist and a highlight-reel finish behind him, Sutherland is eyeing a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series—and possibly, a UFC contract next.
